When Marshall, the Alaskan Malamute, came into Naty Flores’ life, he was so small that he could fit himself in Naty’s palms. In such a short time, however, the fuzzy puppy began to grow.
Naty knew that her dog was meant to be an energetic, intelligent, and loyal companion — but would become a giant kind of dog. Alaskan Malamutes often grow over 100 pounds, and Naty could not believe that the tiny puppy who could fit the palm of her hands would become that big.
One day, a light bulb moment came into Naty, and she decided to immortalize her dog’s transformation from a furry little pup to a full-blown adult pooch. Naty shared with The Dodo that Marshall arrived as a cute little furball, and she thought of documenting his dog’s growth since they usually grow big.
During Marshall’s first year, Naty began taking pictures with her dog. She even wore the same clothes and did the exact same pose in the same background to see how much he has changed.
As time passed, Naty started seeing Marshall’s personality unfold. Just as she suspected, Marshall slowly transformed into the loving, playful dog that he was always meant to be.
Naty shared that Marshall can do a wide array of tricks and could understand many things. The only thing that Marshall cannot do is to talk in a human language.
Marshall, however, is not fond of strangers approaching him. Naty makes her dog wear a yellow handkerchief to show that he is a nervous pup.
After having Marshall for more than a year, Naty could not believe that she was able to document her dog’s transformation. Now, Marshall enjoys taking pictures and far more photogenic than Naty herself, and she feels thankful for having a dog as cute as Marshall.
