This Momma Dog Made Sure Her Puppies Were Safe Before She Decided To Let Her Rescuer Know There Was Something Wrong With Her

This Momma Dog Made Sure Her Puppies Were Safe Before She Decided To Let Her Rescuer Know There Was Something Wrong With Her

A homeless Pitbull got pregnant and gave birth in a yard. She had difficulties giving birth so the family that owned the property decided to help. They had no experience in animal rescue but they knew to call the experts so they contacted Eldad of the charitable group in the city called Hope For Paws.

It was already dark when Eldad answered the call but it was a plea for help he couldn’t ignore. So despite the late hour, he headed out to save the dogs. He even tagged along with his colleagues Lisa and Monica to ensure a successful mission.

On-site, the head of the family showed the rescuers where the dogs stayed. As soon as the momma dog spotted them, she stood up and walked away. She knew they’d follow her once she leaves and believed it was her best option to keep them away from her puppies.

The momma dog tried to walk out of the yard but the neighbors stood guard and reinforced the temporary fencing the rescuers initially set up. Because everyone rallied, the pup failed to escape and Eldad managed to secure her with a leash. And later on, he went on and rescued the puppies.

Eldad placed the puppies in a carrier one by one. There were five but he only got to save four because the fifth puppy died shortly before they arrived. So to make sure the rest of them survived, he acted promptly and rushed the entire family to the vet.

The mom, Lexus, and her puppies, Beamer, Cooper, Prius, and Mercedes, all received medical attention. They all relaxed after their baths and took a nap, except for the mom. She approached Eldad, placed her paw on his lap and whined.

As it turned out, the mom had a soda cap in her stomach. The vets didn’t want to subject a nursing momma to surgery so they induced vomiting instead. And thankfully, she was able to get it out of her system.

The entire family became so famous that they appeared on national TV. And because of that, searching for their new homes became a smooth and easy process.

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
