French Bulldog Brought The Best Out Of The 49ers

French Bulldog Brought The Best Out Of The 49ers

Kathy Morgan April 29, 2020

In twenty-nine years, this is the farthest the team has ever come, and perhaps it’s because of their adorable support dog Zoë. The 1-year-old French Bulldog had been giving them a lot of motivation and was lifting their spirits ever since she came. The main reason why she was on the team in the first place started when one of the employees took his adorable Frenchie named Vito to work.

Everyone found Vito so freaking adorable, and they wished that they had their own Frenchie of their own to cheer them up and give them cuddles! And so the stage was set, and enter Zoë. She was found by the player engagement director, Austin Moss; he was the one responsible for having the sweet, adorable black pooch around the team to act as a support dog, a cheerleader, and a mascot.

It was scientifically proven that having a dog to pet and cuddle can make you feel better, lower your blood pressure, and make those happy hormones course inside you. Whenever their support dog was around them, Zoë oozes out motivation and positivity. Their profession as athletes is full of pressure even for those tough guys.

Thomas Solomons felt a great relief with the Frenchie on the team, and she never failed to make him smile regardless of the mood he was feeling. She cheered him up and helped him heal ever since his sister decided to take her own life in 2018. She would always approach him with her tail wagging and adorable eyes and comfort him whether he was feeling melancholy or he just calmed down from fits of rage.

The happiness she spreads was also long-lasting, seeing her only for a little amount of time could improve his feelings and performance for the rest of the day. She also has the same effect on the other players on the team.

Zoë wasn’t just the team’s support dog, but she has also been a rising star. She has an Instagram account with over 7, 000 followers, and counting! It was visible in the photos taken that she was having an awesome time that neither she or the teal will ever forget.

The tough players may look like hard bullies, but they are a bunch of cinnamon rolls underneath their uniforms! They transform into a bunch of cuddle monsters when not in the fields. The presence of their beloved Frenchie helps them a lot, and dogs are simply bringers of joy. Zoë is just a living piece of evidence.

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
