A Dog Has Similar Facial Expressions With Actor Paul Rudd

Kathy Morgan March 10, 2024

Meet Waffle House, an Australian Shepherd mix. At Collierville Animal Shelter, an animal shelter in Tennessee, the staff did not take long to realize the dog’s striking resemblance to Paul Rudd, the lead actor in the movie “Ant-Man.”

Since then, the people at the shelter gave the dog an amusing and fitting nickname — “Pawl Ruff.” According to Brandon Wallace, the shelter’s manager, everyone thought the nickname was hilarious. The dog is charming, just as how many of the characters the actor has portrayed are.

One of the Facebook followers of the shelter then made a photo collage to show the dog’s resemblance to Paul Rudd. The shelter staff loved the collage so much that they shared it on Twitter and tagged the movie’s official Twitter account since Paul Rudd doesn’t have one.

Based on the shelter’s post, the dog and the actor would be the perfect match. You may not see the two’s resemblance by looking at the dog’s face alone. However, the resemblance is undeniable once you look at the photos of the two side by side. It seems like the dog is the actor’s doppelgänger.

Shortly after, the Twitter post went viral, and seven individuals reached out to send their applications to adopt the famous-faced pooch. One of them was a woman named Jenny.

Jenny had been searching for a dog when she saw the photo collage. She knew right away that he would be the perfect dog for her. However, as the post went viral, she got worried that someone else would end up adopting the dog first.

Fortunately, Jenny became Waffle House’s new mom. And although Jenny isn’t a superhero like Ant-Man, adopting a rescue animal like Pawl Ruff is heroic. Hopefully, this story will inspire more people to adopt dogs or pets from animal shelters.

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
