A Dalmatian Loved To Cuddle With His Cat Brother And Use Him As A Pillow

A Dalmatian Loved To Cuddle With His Cat Brother And Use Him As A Pillow

Kathy Morgan July 30, 2021

Lydia had a cat named Beau, whom she affectionately called Cat. As soon as Lydia came home and picked him up, he would latch onto her.

He preferred sleeping on Lydia’s chest, and his grumpy face was the first thing that Lydia saw when she woke up. Cat was very clingy and affectionate.

Lydia had always wanted a dog, so she eventually got a Dalmatian. She named him Aydan. She was not sure how they would react to each other, but she hoped that it would not be a problem.

At first, Aydan was shy and liked to stay in his corner. Cat took the initiative to make him feel welcome. She would even check on him while he was sleeping.

In time, Aydan got comfortable with his new brother. He would start to jump around and try to get Cat to play with him. Unfortunately, Cat preferred not to indulge in Aydan’s merriment. He would perch and look at Aydan as if she was judging him.

Aydan was persistent and won Beau’s heart. He could not be fooled with Beau’s grumpy demeanor. His way of bonding with Beau was to invade his personal space and constantly get into his business.

Since Beau could not shake him off, he gave up and let Aydan have his way. Soon, Aydan was cuddling his fur brother and began using him as a pillow.

Lydia thought that Beau enjoyed the cuddles with Aydan. However, he seemed embarrassed and would run away when Lydia caught them cuddling. Aydan would then act confused why his brother ran away.

They would fight over something like typical siblings, yet they were affectionate to each other. Cuddling and sleeping together became their favorite activity.

Lydia was  happy that Aydan and Beau got along well together. They enriched her life, and she was fortunate to have them.

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
