Lieutenant Dan is an energetic and adorable two-legged pup from Ohio. His enthusiasm for life is entirely contagious. It’s made more special because of the struggles he faced as a young dog.
Lieutenant Dan was born with a congenital disability. His hind limbs and tail were severely deformed and after many evaluations, his deformity’s found to be too dangerous to be fixed.
Lt. Dan was six months old when his legs and tail were amputated to prevent him from developing painful sores caused by pulling his hind limbs.
It was now more comfortable for Lt. Dan to use his wheelchair because of the amputation.
Before the surgery, he was unable to play fight with others or spin around on his back. But now, these activities are the ones he loves.
Today, this adorable pup spends most of his time playing outdoors. He’s said to be a quick little thing, running around the house and garden.
According to Laura Weber, Lt. Dan’s owner, the two-legged pup loves to show his smiley face. He also has the enthusiasm for everything in life and expresses excitement in everything he does.
Laura said that Lt. Dan loves to play outside with his ball. When he’s inside the house, he loves to wrestle and play tug of war with his furry siblings and friends.
Laura added that the adorable dog also loves hiking and swimming.
It was Laura’s husband who discovered Lt. Dan on social media. The little dog was five months old when they took him home.
According to the couple, even though Lt. Dan has a few health issues, he is a very happy dog with the loveliest smile.
The adorable dog brings so much happiness to his human family.
Laura talked about how they went through months of struggles for the recovery of her handicapped dog.
She also said that taking good care of animals with disabilities offers extra work yet, it can give you so much love and inspiration.

Laura said that many people are commenting on how the two-legged dog inspires them. People love how one can be different and still do something inspiring.
Now, Lt. Dan is vying for an award at 2020 Cadbury Clucking Bunny Easter.
