Thoughtful Pit Bull Stands Guard As Stray Cat Gives Birth

Thoughtful Pit Bull Stands Guard As Stray Cat Gives Birth

Kathy Morgan March 2, 2021

Pit bulls are known to have aggressive traits. But Hades proved that he is a friendly dog, especially to anyone in need.

Nicol, a neighborhood stray cat, won’t let anyone get near her. Even so, a resident named Juan José P. Flores and his pitbull Hades would put food out for the snobby lady cat. Due to his animal instinct, Hades knew that Nicol was pregnant, and the residents of the neighborhood weren’t aware of this.

On the day that Nicol was about to give birth, Juan shared that Hades was causing a lot of ruckus outside their home to get his attention. So, he immediately went to check on him. He found the pup standing outside his doghouse while the cat settles inside. The pooch is trying to protect his friend as she gives life to her precious kittens.

According to Juan, Hades pulled a blanket outside his doghouse and looked out for her. He stood guard as Nicol gives birth to her healthy kitties. The cat felt protected during her delivery, while the dog felt like a father when he guarded the mother cat in her most vulnerable moment.

Juan also added that the sight of his pal stunned him even though he already knew that his dog has a heart of gold. Hades helped Nicol– putting her first before himself, without expecting anything in return. The pup is an excellent example of a selfless being that the world should learn from.

Juan decided to move Nicol and her kittens inside their home, and the happy pup Hades helped him. And whenever the mother cat is not busy with her babies, the two of them get to play. Now, the pair is inseparable, and that is when Juan decided to keep Nicol and her kittens.

The cat safely brought life to her two lovely kittens– all thanks to her pal, Hades. The new mom has found her new home and family that will be forever by her side.

About The Author

Kathy Morgan

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
