This Puppy Was Raised Alongside His Owner’s Baby So The Two Of Them Became Best Friends

This Puppy Was Raised Alongside His Owner’s Baby So The Two Of Them Became Best Friends

New parents who are also dog owners are often presented with a unique opportunity – they have the privilege of raising their baby alongside a dog, which is good for many reasons. One such benefit is a child learning compassion and kindness towards animals.

A poodle named Butter and a boy named Mayers exemplify what friendship is like if a dog and a baby grew up together. They play with the same toys and do most activities together. As a result, they always prefer to be by each other’s side, even when going outside.

Mayers learned to be generous and share his toys while playing with Butter. The boy also learned how to feed the dog during mealtimes. However, sometimes he accidentally nibbles on dog food while doing so. Thankfully his parents are always present to ensure that doesn’t happen often.

Butter has always been friendly towards people. That explains why she would always approach Mayers when he was an infant. Later on, Mayers learned how to be friendly as well, and he became the one who would initiate playtime with Butter.

Sometimes, if Mayers played outside in the backyard, Butter would often be watching through a window inside the house. When the parents see the dog like that, they let her out so she can go out and play as well. The parents know how emotionally attached Butter is to Mayers, and they wouldn’t want her to miss out on all the fun.

Mayers has an older brother named Miller and a sister named Marley, both of whom are also good friends with Butter. The dog spends a lot of time hanging out with all of them, and each one has different ways of bonding with her. Overall, Mayers and his siblings enjoy having Butters around and consider her a fourth sibling.

About The Author

Kathy Morgan

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
