This Pair Of Canines May Appear To Be The Greatest Buddies, But Their Relationship Is Actually Quite Complicated

This Pair Of Canines May Appear To Be The Greatest Buddies, But Their Relationship Is Actually Quite Complicated

When dogs remain close to one another, it usually tells us that they are good pals. After all, such closeness can only suggest that they like one another, correct? The following anecdote demonstrates another facet of this interaction.

Hany and Kammi are two dogs who are never apart. They always have a good time running about in their owner’s backyard. Any observer would assume they are true and best buddies.

But what people do not really know is that Kammi and Hany are, in fact, rivals. They are constantly in competition with one another. When one of them marks their territory, the other ensures that the mark is covered by their own.

Both canines have companions, or as the owner like to refer to them, husbands. The so-called partners are constantly on the lookout for Kammi and Hany to outdo one another. And the owners attempted to intercede and separate them multiple times, but their efforts were useless.

Hany was assaulted by a strange dog on one occasion. This allowed Kammi to gain power over her. The owner witnessed the scene and felt compelled to interfere. He rushed both dogs to the veterinarian to have their injuries assessed.

Both dogs, fortunately, sustained just minor scratches. However, a more significant finding was made.

Hany was expecting. The veterinarian showed ultrasound photographs of the babies inside Hany to the owner.

Prior to this, the owner noted Hany was less aggressive than she was previously. To him, it now made perfect sense why that was the case.

When the owner arrived home, he enclosed Hany and kept the rivals apart. Kammi will have to wait for her competition to finish giving birth to her puppies. Additionally, the separation would provide Kammi with an opportunity to reunite with her spouse. She could also take on the role of pack leader while her rival is preoccupied with her pregnancy.

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
