The First-Ever Indoor Dog Water Park In The US Just Opened And Dogs Are Delighted By It

The First-Ever Indoor Dog Water Park In The US Just Opened And Dogs Are Delighted By It

Kathy Morgan July 29, 2021

As animal lovers, it is undeniable that our furry friends are our source of happiness, comfort, and companionship. Thus, it is only quite natural for us to treat them as our family and make sure they live the best life ever.

So, how do we ensure that they have the best experience? Of course, we take them for walks, road trips, swimming, and adventures. After all, dogs love seeing and experiencing things too.

But how about they do it all together? Where they ride in a car, go to a park, and swim to their hearts’ content? Well, that’s where water parks come in. These are usually places where dogs can play.

While there are countless outdoor dog water parks in the US, there’s only one downside to them- they aren’t available all year round due to the changing weather. That’s why the CEO of the Splash Bark, Teri Jo Olean, introduced the idea of an indoor water park.

Teri Jo Olean is the owner and mastermind of the clever invention. She and her husband have been working in the dog industry for 12 years, and all they want is for dogs to have a unique experience. That’s when the indoor water dog park named The Splash Bark by SDK was born.

When they opened the water park to the public, it became widely known since it’s the first of its kind to be available indoors. That’s not even the end of it because there’s more!

Aside from the play area for dogs, fur parents also have a place to look forward to. Just recently, the Splash Bark opened up a tiki bar for humans where they can relax and buy refreshments while waiting for their dogs.

This very first indoor water park just solved one obstacle that fur parents usually encounter. We hope that more inventions for dogs will be introduced in the future.

Thanks to Jodi Schwan and The Splash Bark by SDK for the video and photos.

About The Author

Kathy Morgan

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
