Rejected Bulldog Puppy That Couldn’t Walk Surprises Everyone After He Teaches Himself To Do It

Rejected Bulldog Puppy That Couldn’t Walk Surprises Everyone After He Teaches Himself To Do It

Kathy Morgan April 9, 2022

Dog breeding is a big business. There’s a huge demand for purebred dogs and a puppy from dogs that won dog shows can cost north of a thousand dollars depending on the breed and the type. This is also why people tend to take advantage of this market by starting a dog breeding business.

However, this also opened a darker side in the dog breeding business. Some people who start this business usually don’t have any experience and end up producing puppies with genetic abnormalities. In most cases, puppies with genetic issues are seen as a liability and are rejected by the breeder. These puppies end up getting abandoned or surrendered to an animal shelter for euthanasia.

A Bulldog named Bueller came from a dog breeder. Unfortunately, he was unable to walk because of a genetic abnormality. Because the breeder couldn’t sell him, he was abandoned in a box at a local SPCA in Sacramento, California.

Bueller was only a few weeks old when he was surrendered and the animal shelter staff and volunteers at the SPCA were heartbroken and wanted to give him a chance to live. Bueller was featured in the news where he was seen by a woman and her husband named Lindsay and Alex.

Seeing Bueller’s face at six weeks old already facing euthanasia was just so heartbreaking for the couple. So, they decided to help by adopting Bueller and giving him the best life that they could give. Soon after adopting Bueller, Lindsay and Alex started therapy.

They wanted Bueller to walk again and they did exercises on the water to let Bueller develop his leg muscles, which can help support him when standing up or walking. It took Bueller weeks to finally have enough strength to stand up on all fours.

Bueller surprised everyone by how determined he was to walk. Now, Bueller is living the best life. He’s not only walking, but he’s finally able to run, jump, and do zoomies. He’s a very determined dog and it was the right choice to give him a second chance in life. Here’s a video showing Bueller’s story and how he overcame all odds by learning to walk.

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
