Maya the Border Collie is definitely one lucky dog.
Unlike other dogs who only have a special bed or a cozy kennel inside the house, Maya boasts of her very own luxury dog cabin that was custom-built for her by her talented dad. Her wooden hideout is located in their backyard and is a miniature version of the popular log cabins in the woods. The cabin is complete with a roof and windows and it even has a very nice balcony where Maya can hang out if it gets too hot.
The luxury cabin project started when Maya’s fur dad, David Conolly, had a few weeks of vacation time. Since David owned a fence decking business, he already has all the tools and the skills for the job. And aside from the usual cabin style, he added a few more amenities so that Maya can enjoy her home to the fullest.
First off, David raised the cabin to a height that allowed Maya to see and socialize with her lovely neighbors. He also put in a red letterbox on her fence if ever she receives any doggy post. The cabin also has a small heater inside and the floor is insulated to make sure that Maya stays comfortable and cozy. Lastly, the miniature log cabin is finished with a beautiful pine color so that it could better withstand the weather.
After finishing his project, David proceeded to upload a video of his creation. The video quickly became viral and received a lot of good feedback so David decided to turn his project into a business.
