There’s nothing more distressing for dog owners than losing their beloved pet dogs. If you’ve had to deal with a missing dog before, you know that it’s like losing a member of the family, and you’d do anything to find your dog. However, what if years go by and you still can’t find your dog?
In Tbilisi, Georgia, a man named Georgi Berejiani experienced the heartache of losing a dog. Georgi’s dog, Jorge, suddenly went missing from his home. Georgi looked everywhere for him and time tested the love he had for his dog.
When Georgi failed to find his dog during his early searches, he would often ask his neighbors to keep an eye out for Jorge. As weeks turned into months and months turned into years, Georgi still had no clue about the whereabouts of his dog. However, he refused to give up.
After searching for three years, a phone call changed everything. A group of people learned about Georgi’s story and his search for his beloved dog. While walking around town, the group saw a stray dog that fit Jorge’s description.
The dog was tagged, which meant that he was a neutered stray. However, they still decided to contact Georgi and inform him about the dog. Naturally, Georgi rushed to the spot where the stray dog was spotted to check if it was indeed Jorge.
Georgi spotted the stray dog lying on a plant box. When he called Jorge’s name, the dog immediately stood up and went to Georgi with his tail wagging. Jorge was so happy that he started whimpering and crying. After three years of wandering the streets, his dad found him and he’s finally going home.
Georgi also couldn’t contain his happiness. After they were reunited, Georgi took Jorge back home to be reunited with all the members of his family.
