Many dogs lose their homes when their owners pass away. It is sad that a good portion of these dogs are senior pets who end up in shelters when they should be in a warm and loving home. Fortunately, there are various animal rescue organizations who take these senior dogs from shelters and find them permanent homes.
Police officers discovered a huge dog named Tyson in an apartment where he was still keeping his deceased owner company. Five or six days had passed before the tragedy was discovered by the police. The officers promptly contacted Twenty Paws Rescue, an organization that rescues animals, and they took Tyson to their facility where he was given the necessary care.
During his first few days of staying there, it was quite evident that Tyson was grieving because of his owner’s passing. Tyson refused to eat and does not want to leave his kennel. Tyson did not also communicate with the rescuers and staff, and he was quite afraid of his surroundings. However, Tyson’s rescuers pushed on and did everything that was possible to make him feel safe and secure.
As soon as Tyson realized that he was really safe, he was eager to go out with his rescuers and go for a walk.
Tyson may be a big dog but he is an incredibly kind dog that loves meeting new people. He does not bark at all, and he enjoys getting love and care from everyone. Even though he’s already a senior dog, Tyson still loves playing with his squeaky toys and hanging out with humans.
The rescuers were actually unsure as to whether or not Tyson could emotionally heal from the loss of his home and his owner.
Tyson was taken to a foster mother named Laura, who gave him tons of attention, love and care. When he eventually moved into his foster home, he quickly became at ease and started to come out of his shell. Laura adored Tyson and wanted him to have the best home possible.
The dog had to be prepared for adoption, and it did not take that long for him to get the attention of a potential adopter. This potential adopter was Sarah and she was intrigued by Tyson as she followed his story online.
Sarah made sure that she was the first applicant when Tyson became available for adoption. Soon, their first meeting was arranged.
As soon as Sarah entered the room where Tyson was, the dog immediately approached her and then even offered her his paw. Everyone felt an overwhelming emotion during this whole thing and some even started crying happy tears. They all agreed that Sarah is the ideal mother for Tyson.
It was quite difficult for Laura to say goodbye to Tyson, but she was confident and sure that Sarah would really give Tyson the life that he deserves.
