Dogs Get Reunited With Owners After Surviving Tornadoes

Dogs Get Reunited With Owners After Surviving Tornadoes

Kathy Morgan April 30, 2020

Tornadoes are a pain in the neck. Usually, you do not know when they are coming. The moment you learn they’re paying your neighborhood a visit, it’s already too late, and you haven’t made the essential preparations.

When a tornado strikes, all you can think about is keeping your family safe. Sometimes in your panic, you forget to secure your beloved pets. Now for people who adore the family members of their household, such a situation is heartbreaking.

But there’s always hope that your pet is alive and safe. Take a cue from the furry parents in our featured video who did not give up on their canine companions. Make sure you watch this video with wads of tissue at your disposal.

The dogs in this video share one thing in common. They survived a horrible experience. Tornadoes upended their world, and what was once a safe place turned dangerous.

They are all scared. Given that they are dogs, they do not have the mental faculties to make sense of what happened. They will never grasp the wrath of nature.

But at least their humans returned for them. These people love their pets so much they look for them as soon as it’s safe to do so. And most of them feel sorry for having to abandon their dogs amidst panic and confusion.

One woman keeps saying sorry to her dog, Lexy. She knows she’s failed the dog. But Lexy is quick to forgive and even quicken to trust her human again.

An older woman, in the middle of an interview, finds her dog under rubble. She shares that two of her prayers have been answered. One of those prayers has to do with her dog’s safety.

These reunions are inspiring and heartbreaking at the same time. They show the deep bond between humans and their pets, which not even tornadoes can break.

About The Author

Kathy Morgan

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
