For dogs, a park is a place where they can exercise, socialize with other pets and play off-leash with their owners. But for a Shih Tzu Poodle Mix who lived in it for a year, the park was everything.
Dogs can socialize, exercise, and play off-leash with their owners in a park alongside other pets. But the park was everything for a Shih Tzu Poodle Mix who lived there for a year.
The dog has lived on leftovers from people who visited the park. Fortunately, someone had decided to call Hope for Paws for a rescue.
In response, Eldad Hagar, the leader of the rescue team, and Loreta Frankonyte immediately headed to Central California, where the park was located. When they arrived, they instantly caught sight of the dog, who was busy looking for scraps under a picnic table. Loreta found it a perfect opportunity to see the dog, so she attempted, which was a success.
Ultimately, the rescuers named the dog Happy because, despite the many storms he had experienced, he continued to sail his ship, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed! They scanned for a microchip, but they did not find one. In turn, Loreta and Eldad brought Happy with them to Los Angeles.
Right after their arrival, they gave Happy a bath and a haircut, removing the ticks and fleas from his hair. Overall, the makeover left the dog fresh, clean, and absolutely on cloud nine!
Later, Hope for Paws’ friends at Smooch Pooch Dog Rescue fostered Happy and gave him veterinary treatment. There, he met a lovely dog named Maize. All day long, the two played like siblings. Hopefully, Smooch Pooch Dog Rescue will finally find responsible and interested individuals to give Happy and Maize the home they deserve.
Indeed, life is not all rainbows and butterflies. However, if the sun keeps shining brightly, one can do anything. Just as no mountain is too high, there is no trouble too difficult to overcome. Living in faith and hope is what made Happy a happy dog.
