Dog Had A Run-In With The Police While Driving Around In A Tiny Car

Dog Had A Run-In With The Police While Driving Around In A Tiny Car

Kathy Morgan March 16, 2020

The other day, two police officers were driving around the area of Heidelberg West, Australia, when they spotted quite an unusual sight. The officers knew that they could never let something like this pass, so they had to stop.

What the police officers saw was an adorable little dog, who was out for a joyride using his black Mercedes convertible. The deaf and blind dog named Buddy was driving along the walkway when the officers pulled him over.

Officer Lynda Giblett said that they could not believe their eyes. They had to stop and check it out. The furry little motorist’s crime was busted. If you will ask the police department, the 15-year-old speedster needed to be charged as he was caught driving his mini car under the influence of cuteness.

Of course, Buddy was not really driving the tiny car all by himself. Not too far from him was his owner, Terri, who was controlling the vehicle. It turns out that there was a perfectly reasonable explanation of why Buddy needed to cruise around the town without a driver’s license.

Because Buddy is a senior dog who is also deaf and blind, Terri decided to get him a mini toy car. This way, he would still be able to enjoy the fresh air outside just like before. Terri has been regularly taking Buddy out for walks, and now that he is older, the adorable pup is doing it in style.

Although Buddy did not have any valid driver’s license, the officers seemed to have decided to let him off. Probably, they only left him with a warning telling him never to stop being so adorable. After all, Buddy’s cuteness does not seem to be of much threat to the community. As Officer Giblett said, seeing Buddy driving around the neighborhood definitely made their day.

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
