Dog And Baby Share The Same Birthday And Amazing Friendship

Dog And Baby Share The Same Birthday And Amazing Friendship

Kathy Morgan October 8, 2019

Ivette Ivens is a professional photographer. She’s also a devoted mom. After giving birth to her firstborn Dilan, she decided to adopt a French bulldog, which she named Farley.

Dilan and Farley share something in common. They were both born on May 26, 2014. Farley’s birthday was one of the reasons why Ivette chose him.

When Ivette took Farley home, the dog immediately warmed up to Dilan. Dilan was equally smitten with Farley. It was an instant mutual connection.

Ivette knew that Dilan and Farley’s friendship was something special. She shared to Daily Mail that Farley seems to think that he belongs to the same species as Dilan. It was understandable given how both baby and puppy were going through the same stages of growing up.

Dilan and Farley crawled together. They chewed on things. And basically did all things side by side.

Ivette documented Dilan and Farley’s friendship in a photo series. The project shows how baby and puppy can’t get enough of each other. It’s cuteness overload, to say the least.

Babies growing up with dogs are quite lucky. A dog has a lot to teach a toddler. These include compassion, love, and kindness.

Some parents are wary about raising babies and dogs under the same roof. They are afraid that dogs might harm their kids unintentionally. But this should not even be a cause of concern.

Dogs are some of the most gentle creatures on the face of the planet. And in the presence of a fragile little human being, they know just how to behave. They even become protective of babies.

Dilan and Farley’s amazing bond is a testament to how it’s possible to raise both kids and dogs simultaneously. Yes, the logistics of it would be challenging, but it’s worth all the effort. There’s no need to choose between babies and puppies because you can have both.

Thanks to Ivette Ivens

About The Author

Kathy Morgan

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
