Dog Abandoned On Massachusetts Beach To Die Finds A New Dad And A Better Life

Dog Abandoned On Massachusetts Beach To Die Finds A New Dad And A Better Life

Kathy Morgan February 4, 2023

Beachgoers in Massachusetts were shocked to discover a dog tied to a metal pole in a dangerous area. It was a spot in Revere Beach that commonly became submerged when the tide came in. No one saw who tied the poor pooch there, but they instantly knew what the intent was. Whoever it was wanted to drown the pit bull mix.

Fortunately for the dog, he was spotted before anything horrible could happen. The authorities were quickly called to save the canine. Officers from the Massachusetts State Police Troopers arrived soon after and brought the tied dog to a safer place. The onlookers cheered as the pup was taken away.

Investigation

After getting rescued, the pittie was taken in by an animal charity organization called Sweet Paws rescue. He was given a safe and comfortable place to stay and smothered with love and attention by the staff. In the meantime, the authorities started an investigation.

After three days, the officers found the cruel dog owner. He was a local resident named Elias Pacheco-Osario. He was arrested and charged with animal cruelty.

During questioning, Elias said he did it because he was no longer interested in the animal. He didn’t want to take care of the pooch, so he left him at the beach.

A better owner

The unwanted pooch didn’t take long to find a new family. Barely a week after arriving at the shelter, a man walked in looking to adopt a dog. He saw the adorable pit bull and fell in love with him. He quickly filed for adoption and named the canine Horus.

According to his new dad, Horus has adapted well to his new home. He is undergoing training and has shown good progress. They have developed a good connection and have gone on several hikes together. Luckily for Horus, he got away from a terrible situation and found a dad who loved him unconditionally.

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
