Clever Dog Repeatedly Drops His Toy Over The Fence So That People Will Play With Him

Clever Dog Repeatedly Drops His Toy Over The Fence So That People Will Play With Him

Kathy Morgan April 30, 2021

If you plan on getting a pet dog, then you better be ready to play with them. Playing is part of a doggo’s nature and it’s one of the things that we love most about them. Making time to play with your pet pooch is one of those unspoken rules that you have to comply with if you want a happy and disciplined pupper.

However, there are some clever doggos out there who find ways to keep themselves entertained if their humans are not up to it. One of them is Riley the Golden Retriever. The pup from Los Angeles was adopted by his family from a shelter in Big Bear Lake, California when he was only 10 weeks old.

Riley likes to hang out on the walls of his family’s patio, and when we say hang out, we mean it literally. The Golden Retriever always hangs his front paws over the wall, so that he can get a good look at the people walking or driving by. With this setup, it’s safe to say that Riley is among the most entertained pooches in the world.

The pupper does this so much that his family had to place a rug under his favorite spot so that he won’t hurt his belly. Because of this unique behavior, Riley had become some kind of a local celebrity. In a city full of stars, this pooch is among those who are loved the most.

People love taking selfies with the friendly pup, but most of all, they love his tight hugs. Riley had become so popular that even celebrities like, Jason Snellman, Kyle Burch, and Jennifer Jolliff stopped by to take selfies with him. But what makes Riley so popular is his clever way of making people play with him.

Whenever a person is nearby, Riley drops his toy so that the person has no choice but to play with the pupper. People say that this genius technique works all the time. But if you ask us, Riley’s friendly demeanor and smiling face are more than enough to hook us in.

About The Author

Kathy Morgan

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
