Bernese Mountain Dog Lucy was playing with her dad when she heard her name called. They were on a sandy dune doing some exploring when her mom called her name.
Lucy’s ears perked up, and she turned to look at who gave the command. Upon seeing it was mom who called her, the dog walked down to the dune to comply.
Eager to obey, Lucy ran down the sandy hill, only to faceplant in the sand at the bottom. The look of utter embarrassment on Lucy’s face is epic. Her disappointed reaction is sure to make you chuckle!
Dogs are just like people sometimes – they get overexcited and don’t always think things through.
Lucy ate sand, and the mix of emotions that the incident brought was reflected in the dog’s eyes.
The dog’s facial expression seemed to ask mom why. Why would mom call her down if she knew she was just going to end up falling? She didn’t know you’d come running at that speed, pet!
The dog put on a brave face as she shook the sand off of her coat. Her eyes looked like she was on the verge of tears, though, the poor pet.
It wasn’t anyone’s fault that Lucy fell, but her facial expression sure accused mom as the cause of the whole fiasco happening.
We can all relate to Lucy in this story, as we’ve all probably been in situations where we embarrassed ourselves. Let’s just hope that our reactions do not further make this dog feel worse.
