After Leaving Her Dog Home Alone, A Woman Came Back To A Surprising Note On Her Door

After Leaving Her Dog Home Alone, A Woman Came Back To A Surprising Note On Her Door

Kathy Morgan March 11, 2024

Meet Billy, a five-year-old dog who loves adventure and does just about anything for adrenaline. And her mom, Julia Zwar, has already gotten used to him getting into some trouble.

Zwar said her dog would not stop for anything. Billy will take any chance he can get. Most of the time, the dog’s mischief is harmless. However, recently, something unexpected happened.

Jess, Zwar’s housemate, had just rearranged her room and had pushed her bed against the wall with a window. The housemates had not realized it yet, but the new arrangement gave direct roof access.

That day, Zwar left the dog home alone to meet some of her friends. She didn’t think there would be any problem as Billy was already familiar with being home alone.

While alone at home, the dog explored the roof. Fortunately, it was daytime, and some people were having a picnic in the park in front of the house. Upon seeing Billy up there, the people in the park jumped in to help him.

The Good Samaritans climbed up, put the dog inside the house, and closed the window. They also left a note on the door for Billy’s fur mom to see when she got home.

So when Zwar came home, she saw a surprising note on her front door. It said what her dog was up to while she was away. Inside the house, the dog was safe in the living room. Billy wagged his tail happily as if nothing significant had happened.

At first, the dog seemed excited upon seeing his mom. However, when Zwar called his name in a tone signifying he was in trouble, Billy dropped his head. It was as if he knew why. The dog then flashed a pleading look on his face.

Although she could not believe what her dog had done, Zwar was relieved he was fine. She even hugged him and immediately thought of something so that Billy would never get access to the roof again.

Since the incident, the housemates have ensured that Jess’ bedroom door and window are always closed, especially when no one is around to look after Billy. So far, such an incident has not happened again.

Fortunately, Billy has not tried going to the roof again. The adventurous dog has returned to his usual routine — running around the park or near the ocean under his mom’s supervision.

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
