There are thousands of dogs living in animal shelters all across the United States. All of them deserve to have a family and a forever home. Many of these dogs are so adorable and friendly that it’s hard to believe that it’s challenging to find a family for all of them.
A shelter dog named Simon is probably one of the most adorable and friendliest dogs in the world. He’s well-mannered, loves meeting new people, and gets along with almost any dog that he meets. However, despite all the qualities that would make him a great family dog, nobody seemed to want him.
Simon had an uncertain future at the animal shelter. He needed to find a forever home or risk getting euthanized or living the rest of his life alone in the shelter. Thankfully, a woman named Sophie met Simon and decided to foster him.
Sophie couldn’t believe how adorable Simon looked. He had a big head with big floppy ears, and a small body with short but big paws. Sophie believed that Simon once belonged to someone at one point in his life. He knew all the basic commands, was socialized, and was potty trained.
It didn’t take long for Sophie to fall in love with Simon. After 24 hours of fostering Simon, Sophie decided to foster fail and adopt him for good. Nobody really knew about Simon’s background, but he was very well-mannered, suggesting that he once belonged to a good family who truly cared for him.
Simon also has expressive ears. His ears change shape depending on his mood, and Sophie can tell how Simon feels just by looking at his ears. Although nobody knows what breed Simon is, Sophie decided to have him DNA tested and found out that he’s primarily a Basset Hound.
Simon goes with Sophie everywhere. He loves riding the subway, going on long walks, and helping with housesitting. Whenever Simon was home alone, he would steal his mom’s shoes, take them to his dog bed, and cuddle with them. Here’s a video featuring Simon’s full story and how he ended up with the best mom.
