Larry Peteet is afflicted with both PTSD and depression. His eight-year-old Labrador retriever, Sandy, assists him in overcoming these obstacles and never leaves his side. They remain together in good times and bad.
Larry, a local veteran, got unconscious while driving through Land O’ Lakes in the middle of October. Apparently, Larry has a cardiac problem that requires constant medical care. As a result, he experienced difficulty while driving.
After arriving on the scene, the responding firefighter asked a stranger whether he could possibly care for Sandy, Larry’s dog. The Passerby was aware of a neighbor who could care for Sandy while Larry was hospitalized.
Hence, the firefighter conveyed to Larry the word that Sandy would be okay. After a few days in the hospital, Larry was released and returned to the neighbor’s residence in search of Sandy. He was really distressed to discover that Sandy was not present. They have no knowledge of Sandy’s location. One claimed she was in an animal shelter, while the others claimed to have seen Sandy in a different county.
Larry requested help in locating Sandy. He sought assistance from the local sheriff’s office. Sheriff quickly learned that a neighbor had taken Sandy to a neighborhood dog park and abandoned him there. Wow!? Unfortunately, nobody could contact Larry’s neighbor.
There was nothing he could have done. Hence, he decided to disseminate the information via local newspapers, flyers, and Facebook. A $500 reward was offered to anyone who could locate Sandy.
Finally, there was good news. A man called Steve observed the news piece and phoned Larry. He claimed that his neighbor had informed him that Sandy’s owner had abandoned her, but after observing the owner’s relentless search for his dog, Steve understood what he had to do. Namely, unite Sandy and Larry again.
It was inconceivable, but Larry never gave up on Sandy despite being unable to comprehend her. Everything was successful. They have reunited once more. Watch the video and prepare yourself for an emotionally charged reunion.
