The majority of stray dogs are wary of associating with humans, especially if they have puppies. These dogs would snarl and bark to ward off humans, but they are actually afraid and acting aggressively to defend themselves and their babies. These canines are only terrific parents because they protect their beautiful offspring from potential danger.
It is difficult to rescue these canines because they are unaware that they are being saved. However, we are all aware that the street is no place for a dog, especially a puppy, to live. Everyone definitely needs a safe place to stay and have a permanent residence.
Rescuers from the nonprofit Cause-N-Dog Rescue encountered rescuing a seemingly violent and fearful mother dog named Lady Blue, along with her puppies. When they informed rescuer Tyra Scroggins about Lady Blue, Tyra knew they had to act.
Lady Blue was extremely difficult to capture and would avoid people whenever possible. She barked and growled at the rescuers as a warning to stay away.
Tyra and her fellow rescuers retrieved all of Lady Blue’s puppies from a little ditch when Lady Blue was far away. Tyra then attempted to save Lady Blue by placing the puppies in her vehicle and leaving the door unlocked. Lady Blue would enter the vehicle to be with her puppies, and Tyra attempted to imprison her by remotely closing the car door.
However, Lady Blue proved to be a clever dog by leaping out of the car whenever the rescuers tried to close the door. Tyra attempted this several times without success. Lady Blue was exceptionally shrewd and cautious so Tyra attempted a different approach.
Tyra attempted to trap the dog in a crate by placing two puppies as lures inside an open crate. Lady Blue would enter the cage to be with her puppies, and Tyra would attempt to close the box as quickly as possible. After numerous unsuccessful attempts, Lady Blue was finally captured and taken to their facility.
Eventually, Lady Blue recognized that she was in a safe location with the rescuers, and she quickly calmed down. Lady Blue focused on caring for her puppies while rescuers diligently sought permanent homes for Lady Blue and her puppies.
The dog momma required some time to acclimatize, but once she did, she emerged from her shell and revealed her kind and playful nature.
