A New Happy Family For Charlize After Years In The Shelter

A New Happy Family For Charlize After Years In The Shelter

Kathy Morgan February 9, 2024

Patience will always be the best virtue. This is true with Charlize, a Pit Bull that spent almost 990 days in various shelters. Her patience in not giving up after such a long time was all worth it.
Charlize settled in different shelters and stayed at the Delaware SPCA for 886 days. Despite her uncertain journey, she never gave up and remained kind-hearted. Her kindness led her to find the perfect family she deserved.
Her new caretakers can’t believe she lived a life like a roller coaster ride. She is a sweet and energetic dog everyone loves at the shelter. Despite the positive energy Charlize has, no one wants to adopt her.
The shelter’s staff wondered why no one wanted to adopt the dog. Charlize mingled well with other dogs in the shelter. She also loved to play with kids.

The long wait is over

It took three years before Charlize finally met the perfect family for her. The shelter’s effort to advertise was worth more than they expected. Matthew and Anna had seen her photo and fallen in love with Charlize.
After the couple purchased their first-ever home, they adopted the dog. They realized their house would not be complete without a furry companion to share their happiness. The couple considered Charlize to be the missing piece in completing their story.
Time passed by, and Charlize finally got comfortable with her new home. She deserved a perfect couple who loved her personality and accepted her drastic past. She found her new home and family, who accepted her despite the troubles she had experienced.
Thus, the shelter where she stayed for a long time celebrated her new life. The life of a once lonely dog, but now full of happiness. There’s always a happy ending and a new beginning.

About The Author

Kathy Morgan

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
