A German Shepherd Sees His Dad Fall And Gets Anxious Not Realizing That It Was A Prank

A German Shepherd Sees His Dad Fall And Gets Anxious Not Realizing That It Was A Prank

Kathy Morgan October 5, 2020

Because dogs have pure hearts, they’re a little slow in separating a prank from the real thing. They’re instinctive, but they don’t know what a joke is.

So when this adorable German Shepherd saw his owner “fall” on the floor, the poor puppy was beside himself.

On this day, Rocky, the adorable puppy in this story, was called by his dad to the living room. The puppy thought it was going to be one of their hang-out days, so the pet eagerly ran to his dad for some one-on-one time.

Little did he know that he was about to be pranked. Rocky enjoyed the generous pets and hugs, noting that there was no other furry animal around. It meant he got dad all to himself!

Rocky reveled in the wonderful feeling; after all, it’s not every day this happens. It’s great to do stuff as a group, but sometimes, it’s great to chill with his hooman alone.

All of a sudden, his dad fell to the floor. The pup looked at his dad, trying to guess what his deal was. Then he realized he wasn’t moving, and Rocky’s day went from happy to antsy in a millisecond.

The poor puppy whimpered and whined. He put his paw on his dad’s chest, wanting to confirm he was still breathing. He was, so why wasn’t he moving? The pet decided to give his dad’s face a couple of licks to wake him up.

It seemed to work because his hooman moved, but then his face was now next to the floor, and he wasn’t responding. Rocky’s anxiety was now full-blown, the poor baby!

He decided to go and look for help, and that’s when his dad “recovered” and called him back. The worried pup ran towards his dad, crying in relief. You’re a good boy, Rocky! Your family’s blessed to have you!

About The Author

Kathy Morgan

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
