Dani is a 23-year-old fur mom who owns a pair of chow chows named Bonnie and Clyde. Recently, the two were stolen from their family home, leaving Dani heartbroken. So, she put up a £15,000 reward for her fur babies’ safe return.
Dani feared that the thieves might have separated Bonnie and Clyde, who have been together all their lives. It appears that some organized dog robbers targeted the pair. They snatched the pups from their kennel, which was in the garden behind their Essex home. Currently, chow chows are worth £4,000 each.
In a CCTV footage that Dani released, a large white van entered a lane near their property when the incident happened on Friday night. Then, four men walked up the road toward the field behind Dani’s house.
Dani explained that she offered a big reward because Bonnie and Clyde mean so much to them. They are part of their family. According to Dani, the pair came from the same breeder, and they have been together since they were little.
Dani was worried if her dogs were being looked after properly and left outdoors during this cold weather. She said that Bonnie and Clyde are very attached to her, and she loves them so much. So, Dani will give everything she has to get them home.
The thieves struck around 6:40 on Friday evening. At that time, Dani and Tyler, her partner, visited her father, who lives nearby. The robbers smashed the garden fence down and placed the two dogs in a cage before escaping through the grass field behind the house.
Dani and Tyler realized that Bonnie and Clyde had vanished as soon as they got home an hour later. The thieves also took the crate that they use to transport the dogs. According to reports, the family plans on breeding the pair who are only over one year old. They are likely to have puppies that are worth thousands of pounds because of their rare lilac color.
Thankfully, eight days later, Dani announced that a family friend retrieved Bonnie and Clyde. She confirmed that, although they were a bit shaken up, the pair was fine. Dani thanked the people who shared the story and helped get them reunited with the pups.
