Dalmatian Enjoys Singing While Playing The Piano

Dalmatian Enjoys Singing While Playing The Piano

Kathy Morgan January 3, 2021

Who would have believed that a Dalmatian is singing while playing the piano if his owners did not catch it on video!

According to his owner, Esther Mason, Dexter, the adorable dog, loves playing the piano when no one is around. He would stand straight and howl while doing it.

The big goofy dog performs for the family and their neighbors a few minutes each week. Dexter is the best piano player in the house, Esther stated.

The first video looked like Dexter does not want to be caught as he walked away even before Esther entered their living room. However, in the second video, the Dalmatian, in all of his majesty, let Esther shoot him. While standing straight, the dog jabbed his paws on the keys and tilted his head to howl correctly. He even pressed two to three keys as he ‘sings.’

However, because of Dexter’s short attention span, Esther said he would always stop when they are near him. He will run to them and play with them. They cannot get him to play the piano on command. He does it whenever he pleases.

At first, Esther’s husband thought it was their daughter who was playing the piano. Even their neighbors thought it was her daughter, who was playing the piano. But after seeing it was not, they find it hilarious.

The couple discovered it one night when they were in bed and the piano keys suddenly started clanking. They went down to find out it was their big Dalmatian, Dexter.

For Esther, who is a piano teacher, Dexter is a soulful singer. He is passionate as he hits those notes while pressing different keys on the piano.

She even joked that their dog is showing off his skills because they have the ‘’Cats’’ soundtrack on top of the piano. Dexter wanted it to vanish.

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
