Employees and volunteers of SCARS (Second Chance Animal Rescue Society) were about to begin their day when they noticed a cardboard box lying near the front door. Curious, the staffers checked what was inside it. To everyone’s surprise, they found two identical puppies they believed to be brothers from an unwanted litter.
The rescue society took the puppies in and cared for them. At first, they couldn’t distinguish one from the other. Bo and Cole looked the same, and their differences didn’t show up until a few weeks later.
Bo was darker with floppy ears while Cole was lighter with ears that flopped down or stood up at times. As they grew older and sizeable, the staffers also noticed Bo was more social while Cole was a bit reserved. The brothers grew up in the same environment and had the same training, but they were different in a lot of things.
A few months quickly went by, and the furry brothers are no longer puppies. They near adulthood and will soon become full grown. SCARS does their best to care for the dogs, but they wanted nothing but for the animals to find their homes.
The rescue society placed Bo and Cole in the same foster home. However, they made sure that the brothers would grow up independently and not clinging to one another. That way, they discovered their unique personalities.
Bo’s heart easily trusts, and he loves spending time with humans. He’s like a big, calm teddy bear as staffers described him. He’s always there, ready and willing to cuddle away until both of you fall asleep.
Cole, on the other hand, is a bit nervous. He feels agitated when he’s around humans and gets confused when forced to be near them. Nevertheless, he trusts his foster parents so much.
Bo and Cole are both ready to find their forever families. They may have different personalities, but they both deserve a happy ending. Let’s get these brothers home.
