Nala, The Service Dog Gets The Chance To Visit Disney Land And Meet With Her Favorite Characters

Nala, The Service Dog Gets The Chance To Visit Disney Land And Meet With Her Favorite Characters

Kathy Morgan November 8, 2019

Service dogs provide invaluable assistance to people who have special needs. They work diligently to make their humans’ lives more comfortable, and that’s why they deserve to be spoiled.

One service dog is lucky enough to enjoy this. Guess what? She gets to travel to Disney Land regularly!

She’s Nala, two years old, a golden retriever. Her mom, Megan Leigh, has PTSD and is autistic. But thanks to her that she’s able to manage every day and even gets to travel independently. As a token of appreciation, Megan brings Nala with her in her getaways, and that includes going on trips to Disney Land!

Megan would take Nala in rides, and she almost always could get into them except when there’s a height requirement! Nala likes to get the feel of the wind in her face while on the drive, and this is why her favorite is the Power Mover.

But the excitement she feels for that is nothing in comparison to seeing the princesses! She loves Cinderella and Ariel! And they adore her too.

Every time Nala would visit them, they are able to recognize her. Megan explained that it’s because they are regular tourists, and Nala interacts with them whenever she gets the chance to.

Isn’t she just the luckiest? Not only does she get the chance to go on trips, but she gets to meet her idols personally.

But as for Megan, it is not Nala who’s lucky but her. Having the pup by her side changed and improved a lot in her life. She survives every day because of her. And taking Nala on adventures like this is just showing her gratitude for her valuable service.

Now, this makes us want to have our own Nala, too!

Do share this story to thank all service dogs everywhere!

About The Author

Kathy Morgan

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma (of course a lady never shares their age) many years ago. Growing up I could remember always enjoying many pets in our household. From rabbits, hamsters Guinea pigs and dogs I loved them all even to this day. After graduating from High School: I decided to search for my first job. Yep, you guessed it my first job landed me in a pet shop. I learned so much from that experience that twenty years later I am still affiliated with our four-legged friend. I no longer work in a pet shop; but I have devoted my life to writing articles about “man’s best friend” dogs. I hope you enjoy the articles, stories and videos of our furry friends on this website. See you on the inside.
