If you’re a cop and you received sixteen calls from the same number you’d think there’s an emergency. You jump into the car, trace the location of the call, and do whatever needs to be done.
Sixteen calls mean whoever is at the other end of the line is in great danger, so you prepare yourself physically and mentally for some action. Well, at least that’s what Officer Michelle Roberts and other police officers from Lakeville, Minnesota were expecting.
Multiple calls from two dogs
The phones at their station were ringing off the hook. When they checked, they discovered that all calls came from a single phone number. They tried talking to the person at the other end of the line, but they could not make out what he or she was saying.
Sensing danger, the officers tracked the location and rushed to the residence. They were armed and ready to take on whoever was disrupting peace in that house. They knocked at the door, but there was no one around to answer them. All they could hear were dogs barking.
Home alone
Officer Roberts called the owners of the house to inform them about the calls. When her team entered, they discovered that the dogs were the only ones at home. It turns out their dad left his phone upstairs and dogs decided to play with it. Since the ’emergency calls only’ mode was on, the dogs had no idea that they’ve been calling 911!
The dogs’ dad learned his lesson when Officer Roberts told him about what happened. He found it funny, but he kept a mental note never to leave his phone at home. To find out how the dogs reacted when the police officers entered their house, watch the video below:
