If you are not living under the sea or under a rock, you must have at least once heard, seen, or interacted with a delivery driver. Hundreds of drivers cruise the roadways of America, but one of them has earned the praise of the fur community for his actions.
Sean McCarren, a UPS driver residing in Martinsburg, West Virginia, is employed at a facility in Hagerstown, Maryland. Along the routes he serves, several furry pals would greet him when he was out and about. Some animals quickly recognized him and would become thrilled upon seeing him in the large brown vehicle.
Overcome with affection for these animals, he began taking gorgeous photographs of them. Pictures of four-legged clients quickly overflowed his phone’s gallery, so he posted them to one of his personal Facebook pages.
Even from his fellow UPS drivers, his article generated numerous replies. Since then, Sean has received photographs of dogs snapped by other drivers while completing their routes. Seeing these dogs after a long day of work helped them feel better. Instantaneously, Sean had an idea that would become an internet sensation.
In 2013, he decided to create a Facebook page dedicated to all the pets visited by the kind UPS drivers in order to share the joy he experiences whenever he sees photos of happy, wagging-tailed dogs. That became their means of exchanging photographs and stories. One post prompted another with 1.6 million likes and over five thousand photographs.
The popular UPS Dogs Facebook page displays dogs of all breeds greeting their favorite brown man with enthusiasm. Some images depict enthusiastic dogs within the truck, presumably searching for cookies or rewards. Additional photographs depict canines assisting in the delivery of packages. Nonetheless, the majority are adorable dogs merely displaying affection.
While making deliveries on a daily basis can get monotonous, it is up to our diligent drivers to break the ice. And there is no better way to do it than with the warm affection and smile that this Dog readily provides.
Hence, if you wish to brighten your day, peruse their albums for your daily dose of happy pills. Enjoy!
