The majority of people envision a police dog as a strong German Shepherd or an intelligent Belgian Malinois. The last thing anyone envisions it to be is a clumsy Beagle puppy who rarely obeys commands.
Auggie, a Beagle puppy, is a member of the Susquehanna Township Police Department. He is overjoyed with his career. But he does not detect explosives or apprehend bad individuals – he actually does something far more beneficial. Everyone who enters the police department finds him to be a source of love, warmth, and comfort when he greets them.
Despite being such a sweet little dog, Auggie was discovered by the police as a stray. He was discovered in terrible health, but because he was wearing a collar, they assumed he was being looked after by a family. Additionally, he was not unfamiliar with being in close proximity to humans.
Auggie needed to be in a secure location. He was taken to the Humane Society of Harrisburg City for treatment of his injuries. Regrettably, Auggie’s family was never located, despite the police and the shelter’s best efforts.
After a month, the team realized that no one was coming for Auggie. However, before the shelter could place him for adoption, the cops intervened and offered to adopt Auggie in exchange for his presence at the station. Auggie, as one might expect, was overjoyed by the prospect.
Soon enough, Auggie was appointed as the department’s newest officer. He was not employed to combat crime; rather, he was tasked with taking over and manning the station.
The building has a lot of meat, beverages, and beds for this amazing dog. His principal role is to provide enjoyment and hospitality to the station’s staff and visitors.
Everyone is relieved to have Auggie around, especially the officers, civilians, and victims. He is able to bring a smile to everyone’s face, making the officers more approachable. Though Auggie does not appear to be a conventional police dog, but he performs admirably.
