Maddy is a graduate student in Texas who has a fondness for animals. She has a kind heart that quickly breaks into pieces whenever she sees an animal in need. This is exactly what happened when she visited the house of one of her best friends.
Neglected
The young lady noticed a pit bull being kept inside a crate just big enough to fit the dog’s body. There was not much space for her to move around. When she asked her friend about it, she said that the dog, named Rose, was owned by her roommate. Sadly, he didn’t really have much time for his pet and would leave the poor pooch inside the cage for really extended periods of time.
Rose looked very sad inside her small dwelling, and it was obvious that she wasn’t leading a good life. This enraged Maddy, who told her close friend that if her roommate doesn’t take better care of his dog, she would report him to the authorities for animal abuse.
On her next visit to her friend, she saw that Rose was still being kept in the crate. And worse of all, the dog’s owner went out of town and would be gone for several days. He didn’t leave his pet any food or water. Maddy was disgusted by the guy’s character.
She let Rose out of her cage and played with her. The student realized that the dog was very sweet and wanted to play. But because she was malnourished, she didn’t have enough energy.
Foster
Maddy couldn’t take it anymore. Rose needed a better life, and she couldn’t leave her living in the sad state that she was in. So she decided to foster the pit bull. She let the owner know that she was taking his dog, and he agreed. Just a few days after taking Rose in, the dog started to have a transformation.
She began to become stronger and happier. She was full of energy and was finally able to live in a place where she could run around. The two developed a very strong bond. Eventually, Maddy felt that she couldn’t let anyone take Rose away. So she adopted her permanently.
